In order to become a certified personal fitness trainer (CFT), you must have earned at least 3 years of experience as an instructor in the field of fitness or exercise science. The CFT program consists of 320 hours of coursework that covers the following topics: physiology; sport psychology; anatomy & physiology via human biology lab sessions; kinesiology & biomechanics with special emphasis on motor control in addition to other topics such as nutrition & health promotion strategies for athletes who want to excel in their chosen profession while maintaining optimal physical condition throughout each day/weekend/yearlong season etc..
